We will work to make sure Russia pays damages to Ukraine.”
Addressing the joint news conference alongside Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskiy, Harris’s remarks underscored the gravity of the situation, especially as the U.S. political landscape grapples with decisions on confronting Russia. Despite the approval of over $110 billion in defense assistance for Ukraine, President Biden’s plea for an additional $60 billion remains mired in congressional debates.
