Mitsubishi is aiming to revitalize its brand with a plan called Momentum 2030. This plan includes more electric vehicles, updated dealerships, and several new models. It’s a bold plan, but if successful, it could make a big difference.
Starting in 2026, Mitsubishi will release a new or updated model each year until 2030. The company will introduce more hybrids, plug-in hybrids, and electric cars. Additionally, the dealership network will expand and have a new design.
Excitingly, Mitsubishi also plans to enter two new market segments with new vehicles. While there’s a lot of speculation, a teaser photo suggests the Delica might come to the U.S.
The vehicle in Mitsubishi’s recent image looks a lot like the D:X concept shown a year ago. This concept previews the design for the next-generation Delica van, which makes sense because the Overland community loves such vans, and van life is very popular now.
Regarding other models Mitsubishi might introduce, I’d be thrilled to see a new Montero. I’d also love the return of the Lancer Evo, but I’m not expecting that to happen. Still, it’s encouraging to know that Mitsubishi is working on revitalizing the brand. Hopefully, the Momentum 2030 roadmap will help achieve that goal.
