Martha Stewart has a fun Christmas party on her farm in Katonah.

Lifestyle expert Martha Stewart has made hundreds of millions of dollars by sharing her decorating and cooking ideas. It’s not a wonder, then, that her own holiday home decor would make people want to copy her style.

There were a bunch of happy pictures on the 83-year-old’s Instagram account from after she held a holiday party for the staff at her farm in Katonah, New York. The photos showed how her home looks during the holidays.

Stewart wanted her home to have a more modest look, so she put glittering Christmas trees on many surfaces and stylish white wreaths on the windows.

Her large grounds are also full of plants that she uses to decorate, which shows that she likes using natural materials to make decorations.

On her blog, she wrote, “All the rooms in my Winter House are decorated for the holidays.” “I try to change it up a bit each time, but there are always a lot of trees in it—big, small, green, gold, and silver.” I also put lots of orchids in the rooms from my garden that were in bloom. They’re all blooming so pretty this year.

Stewart, the famous cookbook author, said she made a delicious spread of shrimp cocktail, caviar, homemade brioche, sliced ham, and soup made with vegetables from her yard. Of course, an event approved by Stewart would not have a tasty menu.

In a blog post, Stewart talked about the event: “I held a very special gathering for the whole staff at my farm in Bedford, New York.” “All of my employees work so hard all year long. They take care of the property, my many pets, and my gardens, and they also help me get ready for all the meetings, shoots, parties, and other events I have planned.”

“I planned a fun holiday meal that was served in my Winter House kitchen as a buffet.” It had stollen, Panettone, lots of tasty holiday sweets, my famous egg nog, shrimp cocktail, caviar, and homemade brioche toast. The celeriac soup I made with veggies from my garden was also there. We cooked and set up a lot in the morning, but our end-of-year party was a lot of fun.

Stewart also talked about the many things she has done to get ready for the cold winter weather in an earlier post. She said that she has taken extra care to protect her plants from the cold weather.

“What is this wrapped in burlap to keep it safe?” “Is it a birdbath, a planter, or a stone garden ornament?” she asked as she showed a picture of what looks like a statue wrapped in fabric. “During the winter, I think it’s important to keep all of these safe from the weather.” Any freezes and thaws in the winter could cause stone or cement to crack or fall apart.

“Long rolls of burlap fabric pulled out of my long Boxwood Allée can only mean one thing: it’s time to cover my valuable hedges and shrubs for the winter,” she said.

Stewart has owned the famous land since 2020, when she moved from Turkey Hill, the farm in Westport, Conn., that she bought with her ex-husband Andy Stewart, to her farm in Katonah.

The TV star put that house on the market in 2007 because she was spending more time at her 150-acre base in Katonah.

Over the years, Stewart has made some very smart real estate purchases. These include a penthouse in the West Village, which she has since sold, and Skylands, a 63-acre retreat on Maine’s Mount Desert Island.

The business woman sold her East Hampton house for $16.5 million in 2021. It was a big deal that she sold the house she bought for $1.7 million after her divorce in 1991. The classic Hamptons home is said to have sold for almost twice what Stewart had asked for it.
