CrowdStrike Holdings Inc., KKR & Co. Inc., and GoDaddy Inc., a web host, will all be added to the S&P 500 index when the market opens on June 24. This was announced late Friday night by S&P Dow Jones Indices.
The company that make the index said that Crowdstrike CRWD, +2.53%, KKR KKR, -1.51%, and GoDaddy GDDY, +0.50% are more like the SPX large-cap range of the S&P 500. They take the place of Robert Half Inc. (RHI, -1.03%), Comerica Inc. (CMA, -0.93%), and Illumina Inc. (ILMN, -0.88%), which is a biotech business. Illumina will move to the S&P MidCap 400 MID, while Robert Half and Comerica will move to the S&P SmallCap 600 SML.
During the longer session on Friday, shares of the three new companies that will be part of the S&P 500 went up a lot. KKR’s gains of almost 8% were the biggest.
In addition to these moves, BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc. (BMRN, -0.20%) and Warner Music Group Corp. (WMG, -1.63%) were added to the S&P MidCap 400.
