Jim Farley, CEO of Ford Motor Co., is crazy about electric cars.
Farley said on the Fully Charged show, “It’s great.” “They’ve been sold out for six months.”
The car is not one that Ford makes, though. The Xiaomi SU7 comes from China.
He said the car came from Shanghai by plane and has been his for six months. The man said, “I don’t want to give it up.”
Farley talked about how Ford is working with a research team in Silicon Valley to make the next wave of electric vehicles. He said, “I can’t even get into the building.” “That was the most extreme thing we could do.”
Next week, Ford F 0.81% will release its third-quarter data. This year, the price has gone down 9%.
It may not come as a surprise that Xiaomi’s stock has gone up 62% this year.
