Lamborghini is embracing electrification. Not fully electric, mind you. And not for efficiency’s sake, either. Instead, I’m talking about wild power for a wild ride. Meet the 2025 Lamborghini Urus SE, a plug-in hybrid-powered super SUV.
How amazing? What do you think about 789 horsepower and 701 lb-ft of torque? Impressive, actually, as the majority of that power is derived from a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine. A portion of the power is provided by an electric motor that is seamlessly integrated into the 8-speed automatic gearbox.

The Urus SE from Lamborghini boasts an impressive pure EV driving range of up to 37 miles. Most owners probably won’t choose to do that because the temptation to rev the engine and hear all eight cylinders firing is simply irresistible.

The Urus SE features a 25.9-kilowatt-hour battery pack that is conveniently situated beneath the rear cargo space. There is an 11-kilowatt onboard charger. Anticipate a charging time of approximately 2.5 hours. Additionally, the acceleration from 0 to 62 mph is a swift 3.4 seconds. Impressive for an object that is likely heavier than 5,500 pounds.
